Key ResponsibilitiesLead business development efforts for U.S. Government opportunities, including military branches, federal agencies, and state agencies (e.g., National Guard).Identify, qualify, and pursue new government business opportunities through established and newly developed relationships.Develop and execute program capture plans, formulating winning strategies in alignment with industry best practices (e.g., Shipley, Holden, Target Account Selling).Manage complex U.S. Government proposal plans, including bid and proposal (B&P) costs. Lead color team reviews and assessments.Demonstrate expertise in government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance, including CRADA, SBIR, STTR, and GSA procurement procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (program management, engineering, production, and product management) to develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements.Conduct return-on-investment (ROI) analyses and develop competitive pricing strategies in coordination with executive leadership.Present to customers, partners, and executives, providing business development updates and insights during quarterly Capture Management Reviews.Engage with prospects, customers, and partners to identify needs and opportunities, working closely with sales teams and industry influencers to execute business development activities such as conferences and trade shows.Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.General ExpectationsBring a strong network of U.S. Government relationships, enabling early access to emerging needs and opportunities.Foster teamwork and a positive work environment, supporting company goals and core values.Exhibit precision and diligence in research, analysis, planning, and execution.Demonstrate the ability to create, communicate, and execute effective capture plans.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Show initiative in gathering and analyzing critical market data to drive results.Recognize and capitalize on real-time market circumstances (e.g., humanitarian crises, military conflicts, natural disasters) where the company's products can provide impactful solutions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. Government business development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.Background in military, aerospace, or aviation industries is a plus.Work Environment & TravelDomestic and occasional international travel required.Office-based role with in-person collaboration required.Benefits401(k) matchingHealth, dental, vision, and life insuranceEmployee assistance and referral programsPaid time offRetirement planTuition reimbursementAdditional InformationSchedule: Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities availableSecurity Clearance: Confidential (Preferred)Location: San Antonio, TX (Relocation required before start date)
