Private Equity Fund Accounting Manager Company DescriptionFast-growing finance and technology service provider to investment management companies has an excellent Private Equity Fund Accounting Manager opportunity. Due to its innovative technology and service offering, the team is expanding in the Dallas office. The team currently services a mix of private equity, real estate, and hybrid structures. The team collaborates with clients on new technology solutions, client service models to support unique structures, and operating models to meet an evolving and growing area within the asset management industry.Job DescriptionThe manager will be required to manage the closed-end fund accounting process within the company's guidelines and procedures. They will manage the timely and accurate delivery of the NAV calculations. They will help develop client relationships and require a detailed understanding of the service requirements for closed-end fund administration.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day management of the private equity team, including:Capital call and distribution processingPreparation of net asset value calculations and financial statementsFee calculations and profit and loss allocationsWaterfall creation and maintenancePerformance reporting, including IRRsAd hoc client and investor reportingManaging client relationships involving interaction with both the client and the relevant Private Equity Director to ensure consistency of serviceEnsure the assigned accounting team operates within the clearly defined and documented control environmentManage and develop client teams of up to 10 employeesResolve fund accounting inquiries escalated by Supervisor or AdministratorDevelop and improve workflows and proceduresManage the audit process, ensuring timely and successful completion of fund auditsManage and complete client onboarding and transitionsManage fund accounting recruitment, training and performance evaluationsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with other stakeholder groupsQualificationsA minimum of 5 years experience working in a Hedge Fund Administration firm with at least 3 of those at the Supervisor level is desired. Alternative Hedge Fund or Private Equity Fund experience will be consideredAccounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Business DegreeIntention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA), if not already started, part qualified or qualified, would be an advantage but is not requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood people manager with the ability to coach and develop a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independentlyStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organizationStrong systems, product, and process knowledge - Investran experience idealStrong Client focus and stakeholder management skills
