This postions pays between $40-$60hr.Our client, a large EV manufacture in Newark, CA is seeking a Safety Electronics - Validation Engineer for a 6-month contract.Work Location: Onsite in Newark, CA***C2C's Need Not Apply***They are currently seeking a Safety Electronics - Validation Engineer. This position requires an excellent understanding of Automotive Electronics Engineering fundamentals with enough experience with Safety Electronics testing to be responsible for the validation of safety electronics systems with autonomy. The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.The Role:o Work with safety electronics engineers to identify, generate and implement test cases andValidation criteria for a system under test.o Create and execute system validation test plans from system requirementso Support with engineering documentation such as Technical Specifications, DFMEA's (DesignFailure Mode and Effect Analysis) and DVP's (Design Verification Plan)o Help identify gaps in requirements and work with the relevant engineers to update therequirement documents accordingly.o Identify and procure test equipmento Troubleshoot hardware using general test and measurement equipment including powersupplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters as well as industry tools such as Vector CANoe,CANalyzer, etco Interface with software and diagnostics team to coordinate testing from bench to vehiclelevelo Automate testing and reporting through scripting for efficiencyo Coordinate testing and validation activities.o Execute tests at various levels of integration, document and report test results.o Document and track issues as appropriate and participate in triaging of issues with differentteams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.o Improve the Safety Electronics commodities transversal activities like teaching, feeding theguidelines and lessons-learned system, identify needs for future platforms, etc...Minimum Qualifications: o 2+years experience in automotive testing and validation.o Hands-on skills to design, build and bring up test benches and breakout boxes.o Knowledge and experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD,Ethernet, LIN, UDS and related tools to measure and command signals, though scripting orotherwise.o Knowledge and experience of communication protocols for test engineering RS232, GPIB,Ethernet, USB or otherwiseo Experienced in a scripting language for test automation: C, C++, CAPL, or Python orotherwiseo Demonstrable ability to concisely present?technical issues, findings and propose next steps.?o Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)o Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)o Proficient with Microsoft Office applicationso Education: BS minimum in Mechanical Engineering or?Electrical Engineering.o Understanding of Electronics Engineering fundamentals: Kirchoff's laws, Ohm's law, Analog vsDigital, Harness Design (Connectors, Pins, Wire Guage) and capacity to apply thosefundamentals in problem solving.o Have strong ethics and diligenceo Understanding of the latest industry LV electrical architectures and vehicle networksincluding topologieso Ability to make efficient reporting, both oral and written; Ability to articulate highly technicalissues to audiences not in the crash safety field, such as top management, design studio,purchasing team, etc.Preferred o Excellent soft skills to manage suppliers, push the envelope to develop optimal technicalsolutions, ensure timely delivery of all componentso Experience using APQP processes (DVP&R, 8D, DFMEA, DRBFM)o Experience in program managemento Familiar with the following automotive designed commodities: RCM, Radars, Cameras, TCUand Gateway's.o Experience in using embedded development boards (Arduinos, raspberry pi, STM boards,etc.)o 6 sigma Green or Black BeltApplicants should apply via The Mice Groups Inc. website (or through this careers site posting.An Annual Performance Bonus Plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, andor other benefits, dependent on the position offered by our client.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at The Mice Groups Inc.
