We are looking to add to our team of experienced professionals and are in need of experienced VoIPSIP Engineer to join our team. Job DescriptionThe Senior VoIP Engineer is the lead technical resource for all 911 and dispatch systems and subsystems that PMC Wireless deploys and supports. These systems comprise SIP Servers, Mobile Broadband PTT, 911 and ESINet Call Taking Solutions, PSAP Contact Centers and IP Radio Dispatch Systems along with associated voice recording and networking infrastructure. While experience with public safety systems is not essential the candidate should have strong experience installing, configuring and maintaining SIPTelephony Server infrastructure. The candidate will lead the technical design and documentation of the systems we deploy and will work in partnership with the project management and field technician team to deliver and maintain the solutions we implement. Some of the daily tasks include: Work with sales and project management teams to gather system information and understand overall system requirements.Lead and define technical designs and detailed configurations for land mobile radio and backhaul networks. Review and finalize for ordering the project bill of materials.Provide technical expertise during the staging, installation, implementation and maintenance of the systems. Develop test plans based on the functional requirements and technical specifications of the system. Lead the deployment effort to install equipment at customer sites and perform site and system acceptance tests.Work with third party vendorscontractors to ensure delivery of requirements set forth by the design. Compile close out documentation and update all repositories with system information as required.Provide technical troubleshooting and support for systems under maintenance.QualificationsBachelor's (BS) Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science OR 5+ years experience in one of the following: Telephony System Manager, SIP Engineer, Voice Engineer or Telecommunications Engineer. Interest and experience in wireless communications and electronics.The ability to program, troubleshoot, and perform system diagnostics on simple and complex systems.Strong computer and networking skills.Strong self-management skills and "people" skills to work closely with PMC customers as well as PMC Technical and Project Management teams.Self-motivated and self-managed to perform the required duties at a distance from direct supervisionMust be able to solve customer problems quickly during stressful situationsValid drivers license, good driving record, and able to pass background check.
