Mechanical Engineer

Our client, one of the oldest and most prominent Architectural firms in the country, is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer to support their projects and clients. You'll have the opportunity to work on unique and excited projects from across the country. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to apply your design expertise on exciting and challenging projects. You will have the chance to mentor and impart knowledge to junior engineers and designers. At the same time, you will be working with one of the region's top AE design firms, gaining additional expertise and building on your career.Responsibilities:Design of building mechanical systems (HVAC) including appropriate system concepts, calculations, energy modeling, layout, sizing, selections, specifications and coordinationPerform site visits of existing mechanical systems for evaluation, or to inspect work in progress or completedPrepare engineering reportsReview and respond to team members on project design work, RFIs, submittals, and other construction related documents and issues in a professional and timely mannerMonitor and control project progress against scope, schedule, and budgetAttend client meetings and assist in marketing efforts Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or similar field10+ years of experience designing building mechanical systemsExperience with design of building mechanical systems for educational facilities is desiredLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) Proficient in AutoCAD and RevitBIM with working knowledge of MS OfficeProficiency with building energy modeling concepts and software preferredKnowledge of applicable codes and standardsAbility to work within multi-disciplinary project teamsKnowledge of and demonstrated interest in energy efficient solutions and designsPossesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
