Senior Electrical 765kV Substation Engineer

Metric Geo are working with a top-tier engineering firm on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role will involve leading the design of high-voltage (765kV EHV) substations and working on innovative projects in the energy sector. If you're looking for a challenging role with the flexibility to balance work and life, this could be the perfect fit.About the Role:In this position, you'll be responsible for the design and delivery of EHV substation projects. You'll lead a team, provide technical guidance, and ensure that the projects are delivered to the highest standards. You'll also have the chance to collaborate directly with clients and work in a hybrid environment, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.What You'll Be Doing:Leading the design of EHV substations, including both physical and protection & control design.Managing project budgets and schedules for multiple substation projects.Ensuring all work meets engineering standards and company policies.Providing technical direction and mentoring junior engineers.Conducting complex engineering calculations and making equipmentmaterial recommendations.Preparing key engineering deliverables such as one-lines, connection diagrams, and equipment layouts.Coordinating with the project team and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.What We're Looking For:A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.8+ years of experience in designing EHV substations (500kV - 765kV experience preferred).Strong understanding of electrical design principles, with experience in physical and P&C design.Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively.Familiarity with open-air and GIS substations, including various bus configurations.Experience in quality assurance and maintaining design standards.Why You Should Apply:Flexible work schedule, with the option to work remotely two days a petitive salary, benefits, and 401K match.A chance to work for an employee-owned company where you'll have a real impact.Join a dynamic team at the forefront of energy solutions, with a focus on renewable energy and sustainability.How to Apply:If you're an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in substation design, apply via LinkedIn, we'd love to hear from you.
