Logistics Specialist

This position is for local residents only. Sorry, Visa sponsorship not available. Logistics Specialist Karen Pearse & Co., LLC is a full service company tailoring solutions to our client's needs. We offer services such as Domestic & International custom fabrication, full service shop drawing & cut ticket department, engineering services, global sourcing network, full inspection services & CAD drafting & estimating. This position requires a highly motivated, organized, detail oriented individual to lead and drive multiple, high profile and concurrent projects. A familiarity in the Stone & Tile industry is a plus. Responsibilities: Obtain and negotiate both ocean and air freight pricing directly with freight forwarders. Communicate daily with freight forwarders. Determine most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods. Manage carrier relationships and performance. Assist with generating documents such as sidemarks, packing lists, commercial invoices and advanced shipping notices (ASN). Review and approve shipping invoices. Assist with all in-office tasks, as needed. Handle all special projects. Requirements: Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing situations. Creative thinker, problems solver and solutions designer. Ability to follow up effectively. Capable of managing multiple, time sensitive, high-pressure projects, independently. Aptitude to pay close, never-ending attention to details. Strong organizational skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong comprehensive listening skills. Exceptional Customer Service skills.
