MPG is partnering with a Pharmaceutical firm which is seeking a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will provide overall financial planning and analysis, decision support and finance operations support to departmental heads. This is a key member of the FP&A team, reporting to the Director of FP&A. The newly created FP&A team will also be focused on streamlining reporting and looking for opportunities for improvements and providing accurate and timely financial reporting.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Analyze the accuracy of financial results, determine variance drivers and write performance commentaryManage monthly CRO and outside services accruals; Preclinical and Clinical spendProduce and distribute quarterly investor reporting; manage ad hoc requests from investor pool Understand the drivers of operating and capital expense variancesPartner with line of business budget owners to inform forecasting and support budget management Monitor relevant trends and events impacting the business and incorporate this information into the forecastIdentify risks and opportunities to the planCollaborate with all members of the company to collect necessary information to produce accurate financial reportingProactively identify and recommend improved processes for increased efficiency and better controlsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related fieldExperience in Pharmaceuticals and Biotech drug development industry preferred3-5 years of experience in planning and analysis or related corporate finance analysis positionAdvanced Excel modeling skills (macros and VBA strongly preferred)Demonstrates initiative, maintains a positive attitude and is a self-starterStrong internal client service mindset (both within AccountingFinance and cross-functionally)Ability to project management workload to produce timely and accurate resultsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants for employment regardless of race, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, religion, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other protected factor.
