Job Title: Environmental SuperintendentLocation: Mooresboro, NC 28114 (bordering Boiling Springs, SC)Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonusPay: $100k plus up to 12% annual bonusIndustry: metals, industrial processingmanufacturingDirect Reports: 2 environmental specialiststechniciansWe currently seek an Environmental Superintendent for a direct hire position within our client's team of experienced professionals at an industrial metals processing plant in Mooresboro, NC. The Environmental Superintendent's main responsibility is to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal environmental requirements for the company's NC location. This person will report to the Environmental Manager and work with other members of the HSE team and company employees in the implementation and monitoring of all environmental programs and processes. Represents company during Environmental audits. Must be committed to safety and protection of all personnel and the environment.Job Description:Implementation of water, air, and RCRA permitting scopesManage NPDES industrial and storm water discharge permits, synthetic minor air permit, and various RCRA action documentsMaintain record keeping systems to meet compliance requirements of each of the regulatory programs referenced aboveInitiate strategic planning and guidance collaborating with operations, maintenance, projects team, laboratory, and technical departments to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirementsAssist in representing the company with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agenciesDevelop, implement and monitor environmental policies, procedures, and documentsCoordinate environmental audits and drive corrective actions to address findingsIn collaboration with the company's site services team, respond to all hazardous materials related incidents to ensure proper cleanup, disposal, and regulatory reporting (if required)Create, implement, monitor, and train employees on all Environmental Control Programs related to waste management, stormwater best management practices, emissions control, and associated periodic reports to the agenciesPerform andor coordinate sampling as neededLead and coordinate environmental projects with external contractors and consultantsOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:A completed Associate's degree in Environmental Science or equivalent EHS specialty field such as chemistry, biology, industrial hygiene, etc.2+ years of experience serving as an EHS technician or project manager in an industrial manufacturing plantAbility to develop, document effective environmental programs, policies, and procedures to ensure (air, water, stormwater, discharge, waste, etc.) compliance with State, Local and Federal regulations.
