The position will be onsite and located at our Houston, TX offices.About You:You are a seasoned electrical engineer with a passion for developing cutting-edge technologies that drive sustainability and make a meaningful impact on our planet.You thrive in the intense, high-stakes pursuit of innovation, applying fundamental physics and engineering principals to create revolutionary technologies that redefine what's possible.You have a bias for action and excel at taking projects from concept to implementation, iterating quickly, and delivering robust, reliable designs.You thrive on solving large, cross-disciplinary challenges and are eager to collaborate with experts in mechanical design, thermal engineering, and materials science to optimize systems and push the boundaries of innovation.Job Responsibilities:Help advance the development of liquid desiccant dehumidification technology for heating ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.Lead the development of electrical systems from initial concept through detailed design and testing to manufacturing readiness, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.Ensure that system manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation testing conform to UL safety certifications.Design and optimize system-level electrical architectures and circuit designs, including selecting components, PCB layout, and integrating sensors, actuators, and control systems.Direct an engineering team in the design and fabrication of test control apparatuses and equipment including methods, procedures, and conditions for testing components and products.Collaborate with manufacturing partners to scale up production, emphasizing design for manufacturing (DFM) and cost-effectiveness.Leverage tools and techniques such as rapid prototyping and iterative testing to create and refine prototypes.Conduct research and analysis to identify and integrate innovative materials, components, and processes that enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.Develop and execute test plans to validate electrical systems and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, thermal engineers, and materials scientists, to achieve seamless system integration and optimize overall product performance.Engage with external collaborators, including suppliers and manufacturers, to source and evaluate components, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality.Contribute to product ideation and design review meetings, providing technical expertise and feedback to drive innovation and excellence.Qualifications:B.S, M.S, or PhD in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related field.Minimum of 7 years of HVAC or automotive product design experience.Experience with electrical control technologies including IMPM Motor Control, mechanical actuator control.Experience with microcontrollers, CC++, and MATLAB.Experience with CAD programs (SolidWorks preferred).The ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions.Self-motivated and detail oriented.Experienced with UL certification process.The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Maintenance of a persistent attention to detail.We're looking for exceptional talent to join our journey.
