Their platform automates bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting, integrating AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. They are looking for a strong fullstack engineer to help build a new finance platform from scratch.The Role:This is a chance to build security and automation into the core of a rapidly scaling fintech platform. As a Founding Fullstack Engineer - Security, you'll work closely with the C-suite to own security initiatives, enhance AI-driven financial workflows, and ensure the platform scales efficiently.You'll have the freedom to take ownership, ship solutions quickly, and iterate in a fast-moving environment.Key Responsibilities:You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable infrastructure that ensures data integrity and compliance within an AI-powered financial automation platform. Your work will focus on maintaining security best practices while optimizing system performance and reliability.A core part of your role will involve integrating AI-driven automation into financial workflows, streamlining processes like transaction categorization, tax calculations, and real-time financial insights. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure these AI capabilities are effectively embedded into the platform.You will develop and maintain automated data extraction processes for invoice processing and other financial documents. This includes building systems that intelligently parse structured and unstructured data, reducing manual entry and increasing efficiency for customers.Another key focus will be on building AI-powered financial tools, including an AI CFO assistant, that enables businesses to make informed, data-driven decisions. Your work will contribute to creating a seamless, intelligent financial advisory system that helps customers manage their finances more effectively.What We're Looking For:The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, thrives in ambiguity, and can independently tackle complex problems in a fast-paced environment.Strong experience with TypeScript, Tailwind, Next.js, Python, and GCP and a solid understanding of security best practices for SaaS platforms.Experience with OCR and AI-driven automation is a plus.Unique thinkers who can execute quickly and thrive in a high-velocity, startup pensation & Benefits:This role offers a competitive salary between $170,000 - $200,000 with significant equity in the company.
