For additional information regarding CanAm, our affiliates and investment track record, please visit our website at of the Role:CanAm is currently seeking a full-time, experienced Accounting and Finance Manager who will report directly to the Assistant Controller, Accounting and Finance. This role will be responsible for CanAm's accounting operations and financial management and will oversee the high volume of bank transactions and international wire payments for the firm's large number of investors and agents. This role will require strong leadership, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:Accounting Operations:o Books maintenance and facilitate month-end close for the group, its affiliates and limited partnerships; ensure high volume of wire payments are processed in a timely manner; handle taxation; distributions and investors' data collection. o Manage three staff accountants.o Facilitate year-end audit processes.o Implement accounting procedures and monitor systems.o Monitor bookkeeping account in QuickBooks.o Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards as required.Finance Operations:o Oversee daily financial operations including budgeting; forecasting; financial reporting and analysis.o Monitor daily bank transactions and monthly reconciliation.o Project revenue forecast and accrual.o Follow up with loan and private equity investments; monitor cash flow.Core Competences:To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following competencies: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills· Extremely well organized and detailed-oriented, with strong commitment to accuracy· Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively within a timely manner· Ability to work both independently and as a team player · Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills· Strong leadership skills· Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters Company Expectations:Support CanAm's core principles: maintain a high level of integrity and ethics; engage in positive and respectful interactions both within the firm and in public; personal accountability and attention to detail at all times. Education Experience: · Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in accounting· CPA certification is preferred · 5-7 years of professional experience with a background in Audit, financial and private equity accounting (private equity industry)· Taxation· General ledger structuresComputer Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and advanced knowledge of QuickBooks.Start Date: As soon as pensation: Annual salary of $150,000 commensurate with experience and education. This role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
