AFG is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail oriented Financial Paraplanner to collaborate with and support a team of financial planners and advisors. The Financial Paraplanner will also work closely with the Operations Team on various projects and will be responsible for running reports and working with many data points. This position is part of an experienced and knowledgeable team that prides itself on consistently exceeding expectations. The Financial Paraplanner is responsible for ongoing data accuracy and excellent client service. This role will enjoy a remote schedule but will spend time in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office during the orientation and training period, and at least once per week thereafter. A typical day will include a mix of the following tasks:Financial Planning Team Support:Receive and accurately update client financial information across various systems as it is received daily.Assist the planning team in compiling the comprehensive financial reports in advance of client pile and present data metrics and report to the team when requested.Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned.Data and Operations Team Support:Become proficient in the various software programs, specifically related to the flow of financial data and client information.Analyze and run metrics on various data points.Assist in the monthly billing process.Client Service:Maintain advisor and client connections within the financial planning software.Work internally with the IT department andor directly with clients via phone and email to troubleshoot any issues with new or existing connections andor uploading and retrieving information within the client Vault.Correspond with clients in advance of their meeting to ensure that we have received the information requested.You might be a great match if you have:A Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's degree with relevant work experience.Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional work setting.Previous experience with data management, analysis, and reporting.Previous experience with financial planning software (experience with eMoney is a plus).Currently hold or a willingness to earn the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) or similar designation.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.We are looking for someone that has the following personal attributes and skills:A strong attention to detail mindset with a focus on accuracy, initiative, and follow-through.Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with clients and colleagues.The ability to quickly become proficient in various CRM and financial software programs.Strong Microsoft Office skills, with specific focus on Excel and Teams.A self-motivated drive and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.The ability to learn new processes quickly, take initiative, and multi-task with minimal supervision.The ability to prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-driven environment.What AFG Offers:A comprehensive benefits package that includes medical (2 plan options), dental, vision, core and buy-up life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage and company funded flexible spending accounts.Generous paid time off program.A best-in-class 401K plan with online planning and reporting tools.Wellness program with additional time off rewards.Easily accessible office with free parking for onsite days.Allegheny Financial Group, is an SEC-registered investment advisory firm that offers clients guidance in every aspect of their financial life, including financial planning, portfolio management, market analysis, risk management, and business and estate planning.
