ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.The PV BESS Electrical Engineer I possesses entry level knowledge and performs varied assignments with oversight and uses analytical techniques to solve diverse problems. The position is part of the Electrical Engineering team that is responsible for the operations and maintenance of the electrical substations, collection systems, and major electrical components in the Acciona Energy North America fleet of renewable energy assets.Responsibilities:Analyze data to understand trends and system events for the purposes of reporting and process improvementDevelopment of processes and procedures to safely and effectively operate and maintain Acciona renewable generating facilities for "Best in Class Performance."Respond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within supported renewable energy facilities.Optimize power performance of electricity generating and collection system equipmentDevelop reports for management regarding System status and System eventsAssists higher-level engineers in handling complex problems and analysis.Evaluate system conditions, anticipate problems and implement strategies to avoid or minimize issues which adversely impact the renewable power projects under the responsibility of Acciona Energy North America's System Operation CenterMaintain a current understanding of Acciona and renewable generation technology and professional development by participating in various training opportunities and reading Acciona and industry documents publicationsMaintain, analyze, and report on condition monitoring equipment to ensure health and reliability of substation equipment.Support Root Cause Analysis to accurately determine failure modes and plete and maintain required and accurate documentation and records.Maintain required training certifications and proficiencies.Support the plannning of switching and tagging for office and field personnel in the operation and restoration of the renewable energy ply with applicable regulatory reliability standards and compliance requirements, including but not limited to, market rules and NERC Reliability Standards.Develop the knowledge to support and implement applicable NERC Reliability Standards.Other responsibilities as assignedRequirements:4 year Bachelors Electrical Engineering degree from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited university requiredExperience in utility or power plant operations and maintenance is preferred but not required.Good communications skills, with the ability to learn from experienced engineers.Knowledge of electrical and mechanical theory and conceptsDemonstrate continuous commitment to safe operations.
