The OPPORTUNITYThe Pre-Delivery InspectionAttachments Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection, testing, and quality assurance of Heavy Construction Equipment machines and attachments before delivery to customers. This role ensures that all equipment meets company and industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations. They manage a team of inspectors and technicians, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement in inspection processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESJob Duties include:Leadership & Team Management:-Supervise and lead a team of PDI inspectors and technicians, ensuring high-quality inspections.-Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills and maintain inspection standards.-Assign daily tasks and ensure inspections are completed on schedule.-Foster a safety-first culture and enforce compliance with workplace safety regulationsInspection & Quality Control:-Oversee the inspection of machines and attachments to verify operational functionality, appearance, and safety compliance.-Ensure that inspections align with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and customer requirements.-Troubleshoot and identify defects, malfunctions, or quality issues before delivery.-Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists, and documentation.-Coordinate with engineering, service, and production teams to resolve non-conformances.Process Improvement & Efficiency:-Develop and implement best practices to improve PDI efficiency and accuracy.-Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for optimization.-Work with cross-functional teams to enhance inspection procedures and training programs.-Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for recurring issues.-Initiative, anticipating needsproblems and voluntarily taking appropriate actions; assuming responsibility for work without being told; seeking out and willingly accepting tough assignments; looking for opportunities to contribute outside of primary area of responsibility.Other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will: Must be customer service and quality drivenManaging multiple prioritiesConflict ResolutionExperienced in diagnostics and repairs of mechanical equipment such as automotive systemsPrevious experience in Heavy equipment preferredCommunicating with various levels of leadershipAbility to comprehend and execute work assignments with minimal follow-upExperience with inbound and outbound functionsStrong organizational skillsAttention to detail, sound time-management and organizational skillsAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or ideaAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills along with listening skills EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience in pre-delivery inspection, quality control, or equipment serviceLeadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or service environment.Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, automotive or industrial attachments.Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge related to machinery and attachments.Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in machine inspections.PHYSICAL DEMANDThe physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Physical exertion may be required to transport up to 40 pounds, lift in excess of 40 pounds may be required with assistance. Work requires standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, and working in small cramped areas. Walking averages greater than two (2) miles per day.
