We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our client's dynamic HealthcareSciences Department in Voorhes, NJ! This position is focused on supporting project managers and senior engineers in designing mechanical (HVAC) systems for a variety of clients. As Mechanical Engineer II, this individual will collaborate with the design team within their discipline and the Project Manager to ensure the timely and efficient execution of project objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing Acute and Ambulatory Care Health Facilities, as well as Academic and Corporate Research Facilities.This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our Voorhees, NJ office.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design energy-efficient HVAC and mechanical systems according to client specifications.Perform load calculations and energy modeling using tools such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, Energy Star, andor Carrier HAP.Regularly review project progress to ensure it meets departmental standards, client needs, and budget constraints.Utilize Revit for the design, layout, and verification of mechanical and HVAC drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.Collaborate regularly with facility owners and architects, ensuring clear and effective communication.Review shop drawings and support construction administration as needed.Provide guidance to less experienced Engineers in Training on project tasks.Conduct site surveys, attend pre-bid meetings, and offer field construction support as required.Assist with training and development for engineers, designers, and drafters involved in projects.Contribute to proposal development, client management, and overall project execution in collaboration with the Project Manager.REQUIREMENTS:Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes, including NFPA and Joint Commission requirements.Proficient in load analysis and energy modeling tools like eQUEST, Trane Trace, Energy Star, andor Carrier HAP.Extensive experience with AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.Familiarity with the USGBC LEED rating system is a plus.Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, both in-person and written, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.Strong technical writing and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare reports and presentations.Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with demonstrated progress in the detailed design of mechanicalHVAC systems, particularly in critical care and laboratory facilities.Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit, as well as Building Information Modeling (BIM), is required.Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; candidates working toward licensure will also be considered.This position offers a competitive compensation package, flexible schedule, and the opportunity to get your foot in the door with a reputable firm!If you or someone you know is looking to take the next step in their professional mechanical engineering career - We encourage you to apply!
