Are you invested enough to grow into a true sales professional over the next 2 years?This is currently a full-time position that requires someone to be based out of the greater Orlando, Florida area with a willingness to travel while working from home. This is an incentive-based position (not tied to legal fees, per Florida Bar rules) with a monthly base salary and an opportunity for you to earn up to $100,000 in variable compensation your first year plus coffee if you're a real closer. Your Daily Adventures Will Include (Position Overview):The Business Development Specialist ("Flying Dragon") position at Wilson Dutra, PLLC (WD) supports the team with all business development strategies and implementation, reporting directly to the co-founders.This position is for a candidate who thrives when creating and deepening meaningful relationships. The candidate must love fun and be a ray of sunshine as they walk into a room, drawing the world in. They must be delightfully memorable and truly interested in their fellow humans.The Business Development Specialist role combines relationship management, strategic networking, and sales responsibilities to drive growth for the WD intellectual property practice. This position focuses on building and nurturing relationships within the innovation ecosystem while converting qualified opportunities into client engagements.The Business Development Specialist position is an exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Responsibilities:Live and breathe sales conversions - help prospects solve their problems and convert them into clients excited to pay for WD's service offerings.Being the most memorable person at tech events (in a good way, not in a "remember that time someone brought a llama to a conference" way)Building relationships that make LinkedIn jealousTurning "just another networking event" into "wow, I can't believe that just happened"Be the champion of business development - be the resource for all things business development at WD.Be the champion of WD's presence during networking events, embodying our fun, curious, and innovative ideals.Continuing the conversations from that amazing relationship building by conducting successful sales conversations with prospects and sending trusted referral sources new resources and leads.Through collaboration with the co-founders and the WD team, create, develop, and implement quarterly and annual business development initiatives, events and campaigns.Through collaboration with the co-founders and the WD team, reach out to contacts and connections in various industries to build and foster relationships.Set discovery calls with prospects from business development initiatives, such as events.Travel with or without other members of the WD team for events (travel both inside and outside of Florida, though primarily for day trips within driving distance of Orlando).Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources through direct contact and implementing annual marketing initiatives.Attend and potentially lead events where WD may or may not have a booth, engaging with attendees and booth vendors.Analyze WD leads data to help determine best use of budgeted funds for highest ROI on events and business development initiatives.Identify events with potential speaking opportunities for the co-founders and help pitch and coordinate.Monitor and analyze the WD CRM to ensure that all leads are properly anizing and maintaining sales analytics from the WD CRM.Provide reports on monthly analytics from the WD CRM and business development campaigns and events.You Might Be Our Flying Dragon If... (Education & Experience):You've never met a stranger, only friends you haven't connected with yetYour superpower is making complex things sound simple (and maybe a little fun)You're the person people remember from events (again, in a good way)Your energy could power a small city (or at least light up every room you are in)You think "professional" and "playful" can coexistPreferably have 3+ years of experience in business development or related field.Preferably have experience working in the technology industry.Lifetime of experience of being the center of gravity in the room with a positive fortable having sales conversations and follow-up calls and discussing money.High EQ with a strong sense of responsibility.Must be able to drive throughout Florida with Orlando being the hub and then be able to travel outside Florida.Must be able to demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills.Must be comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.Preferably Bachelor's or Associate's degree in marketing, communications, andor public relations, though other degrees will be considered.
