Role Overview:Due to the significant growth and expansion of our firm, we are currently seeking a Performance Analyst to join the Performance Reporting team in the Boston, MA office. The successful candidate will be joining a strong team where the focus will be on providing opportunities to grow, develop and be successful in your career.The selected candidate will work closely with teams across the organization, including the Investment, Operations, Valuation, Investor Services and Capital Formation teams, to analyze and communicate strategy, fund and deal performance of the Credit Funds. This will provide the candidate with a broad range of exposure to different aspects of the business and create great networking opportunities.Role Responsibilities:Calculate gross, net and pro forma IRRs, TWRs, Multiples and other performance and financial statistics and ratios.Maintain, own, and prepare various attribution reports, investor reports, performance metrics reports, and track records.Engage directly with leadership, capital formation and deal teams to produce and deliver valuable insights.Develop and enhance data extracts and report templates to accurately and efficiently aggregate data to analyze investments and funds.Conduct as needed various ad hoc and pro forma analytics at the investment, portfolio, and fund level.Assist with special projects to standardize and enrich data across the platform to create meaningful reporting.Actively monitor activity of investments and fund performance to ensure changes are accurately reflected in reports. Model fund and strategy returns with pro forma and sensitivity analyses for Deal Teams and Senior Management.Requirements & Qualifications:1-3 years of relevant experience in finance, business analytics, or investment operations, preferably within financial services (banking, private equity, hedge fund, etc.).Accounting, Finance or STEM degree with a strong academic record, progress towards or achievement of graduate degree or advanced certifications (e.g., CFA).Experience with calculating performance and financial ratios for private equity, private credit andor real asset portfolios.Experience with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) preferred.Distressed debt or direct lending experience, specifically term loans, revolvers, total return swaps, mezzanine debt and public and private bonds a plus.Advanced Excel skills - capable of conceptualizing, developing, and enhancingmodifying complex and sophisticated models.Strong datasystems skills - capable of working with large data sets and skillfully using tools to extract, aggregate, and manipulate data to get accurate results in an efficient and organized manner.Takes full accountability and ownership of work product and leads by example in areas of attitude, attention to detail, urgency, process improvement and quality of work.Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects.Effective communicator (verbally and written) that can engage directly with senior members of the team as well as with external parties and build working relationships across various departments at all levels.Self-motivated problem solver and demonstrates strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Capable of innovative and creative thinking to find unique solutions. Collaborative individual who maintains a positive attitude and is willing to actively contribute to achieving results within tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment.Ability to multi-task and demonstrate change agility with an evolving workload and communicate upwards when competing priorities arise.Experience with FIS VPM, Investran, and IVP Polaris or similar portfolio accounting systems, a plus.
