Chief Financial Officer**** must be able to work onsite in Hauppauge 3 daysweek***Leading supplier of Licensed Seasonal and Home Décor Products is looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, analysis of licensing deals, royalty calculations, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with relevant licensing regulations, all while aligning financial strategies with the company's overall retail licensing goals.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Financial planning and analysis:Develop comprehensive financial plans, including revenue forecasts, profitability projections, and capital expenditure budgets, considering factors like licensing agreements, royalty structures, and market trends.Licensing deal evaluation:Analyze potential licensing deals, assessing financial viability, royalty terms, and potential risks to ensure optimal returns for the company.Royalty calculations and tracking:Implement systems to accurately calculate and track royalty payments from licensees based on sales data and licensing agreements. Cash flow management:Monitor cash flow closely to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations and potential investments, managing accounts receivable and payable related to licensing deals. Cost control:Identify and manage key cost drivers within the licensing operation, including legal fees, administrative costs, and marketing pliance management:Ensure adherence to all relevant licensing regulations, including intellectual property protection and reporting requirements.Financial reporting:Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights into the financial performance of the licensing business.Key requirements include, but are not limited to:At least 10 years of experience as a Senior Controller andor CFO****Must have ToyLicensing or Apparel Licensing experience*****Deep understanding of licensing agreements:Expertise in interpreting complex licensing contracts, royalty structures, and legal considerations.Understanding of Lease Standards ASC 842, and debt to equity ratios in our financialsTax knowledge relating to doing business in multiple jurisdictions (a plus)Retail industry knowledge:Familiarity with retail market trends, consumer behavior, and sales channels to inform financial planning.Financial modeling expertise:Ability to create sophisticated financial models to evaluate potential licensing deals and assess financial risks.Strong analytical skills:Capability to analyze financial data, identify key performance indicators, and provide actionable insights to management.Management, Communication and Collaboration:Build, lead and develop a team of 3 people - Bookkeeper, Accountant and Back-Office Controller. Work with cross-functional teams, including legal, sales, and marketing departments.Lead and participate in company-wide projects as needed includingimplementing andor incorporating existing SAP system to include business intelligence reportingestablishingoverseeing Employee Health and Benefits Plandevelopment of Employee Compensation and Incentive Plans
