Enjoy your weekends off!Work with Experts: You'll be mentored by certified, experienced mechanics, giving you the chance to grow and expand your skills.A Job That Matters: Play a crucial role in keeping the City's vehicles and equipment running smoothly, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the community.What You'll Do:Work on a variety of medium and heavy-duty trucks, vehicles, and equipment, performing repairs and preventative maintenance.Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including AC systems and engines.Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment while working under the supervision of experienced mechanics.Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and lifting devices to complete tasks efficiently.Who We're Looking For:You have 3-5 years of experience with diesel engine repairs or heavy truck equipment repair (preferred but not required).You're comfortable with hydraulic and electrical systems, and you have experience using diagnostic equipment.You've got a strong work ethic, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.You're reliable, can follow instructions, and are able to work both independently and as part of a team.Qualifications:Basic knowledge of vehicle and engine mechanics.Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.High school diploma or GED.Automotive apprenticeship andor technical training with certifications is a plus.Ability to pass a background check and comfortable working in a garageworkshop environment.Physical Demands:Be prepared for physical tasks that may involve lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions.The job includes exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, and other environmental factors.Ready to make a difference? Join a team that values skill development, teamwork, and a passion for vehicles.
