Further information is available at Position We are seeking an Associate to join our Clarion Structured Credit investment team, and who will primarily assist with portfolio valuations and pricing, monitoring existing investments, producing performance reports for the team and investors, and analyzing new CLO investment opportunities. Additionally, the Associate will work with other members of the team, including marketing and business development, operations, and finance and accounting. The Associate will be responsible for ongoing projects in addition to assisting with ad-hoc project work and participate in the ongoing effort to improve policies and procedures. The position is based in Clarion Capital Partners' New York City headquarters. Qualified candidates can receive an annual base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 plus an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package. The candidate will be provided total compensation at a market-competitive level, potentially including other incentive compensation if commensurate with her or his particular experience level. Key Responsibilities Generating and analyzing cash flows of CLOs on a daily basis using internal and industry standard tools to assist with valuations, portfolio monitoring, performance reporting, and investing activities Working on quarterly and ad-hoc valuations and pricing of existing CLO portfolios of CLO equities, CLO debt, and CLO warehousesAssisting on ad-hoc analyses, typically through financial modeling, investor reporting, and other presentation and diligence materials as needed Utilizing internal pricing models and reporting tools to support investment decisions and drive recommendationsAnalyzing new investment opportunities, writing investment memos, building financial models, and presenting recommendationsDiligently monitor existing CLO investments through monthly and quarterly portfolio performance and other analytical reportsAssisting and participating in the CLO manager due diligence and producing performance and CLO platform analyticsWorking closely with the Structured Credit investment team to support, source, and implement trading opportunities across the primary and secondary CLO marketsRequirements and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics preferred 2 or more years of previous sell-side or buy-side experience in in areas of CLO structuring, origination, CLO investment valuations and pricing, andor structured credit investingFundamental understanding of CLO instruments, CLO deal structures and reporting, and the CLO and leveraged loan marketsFamiliarity with aspects of investment management including trading, valuations and pricing, operations, and accountingStrong financial modeling skills with strong working knowledge of Excel with a preferably strong working knowledge of structured finance modeling tools like Intex CalcStrong presentation skills with working knowledge of PowerPointExcellent written and communication skillsEntrepreneurial and proactive personality able to work independently or collaborativelyStrong attention to detail with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentInclusion and diversity are critical to the success of Clarion Capital Partners, LLC, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
