The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various welding techniques, including stick welding. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and building metal structures according to blueprints and specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.ResponsibilitiesFabricate metal components and structures based on provided blueprints and specifications.Utilize hand tools and welding equipment to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.Execute stick welding techniques to join metal parts securely.Conduct quality inspections of welded joints using calipers and other measuring tools.Operate forklifts as needed for material handling on construction sites.Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining safety protocols.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.Welding with GMAW and GTAW processesActively participate in Koch-Glitsch safety programWill be cross trained in different areas of the shop as requiredProviding production and support to meet customer and company goalsEnsure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPEExperienceGMAW and GTAW Welding experienceProven experience in welding, with a focus on fabrication and construction site applications.Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential.Familiarity with various hand tools and welding equipment is required.Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the welding process.What Will Put You AheadTechnical School Welding CertificateRobotic Welding ExperiencePhysical RequirementsOther ConsiderationsAbility to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment1st shift hours 6:00 am- 4:30 pm 2nd shift hours - 4:30 pm - 1:00 a.m.If you have GMAW and GTAW welding experience, can pass critical welding and blueprint tests, and have a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
