Location: Downtown Houston Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5 onsiteDuration: 1-year, possible extensionsMust Haves: 3 years of experience in medical administration & scheduling Good communication and organization skills to liaise with external medical providers and patients regarding scheduling of appointmentsExperience maintaining a comprehensive, secure, filing system for medical records Experience generating expense reportsStrong customer service skills and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityProficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Office with ability to proofread, edit, and update as neededDay-to-Day: A top Oil & Gas client in downtown Houston is seeking a Medical Administrator I to join their team. This individual will serve as key point for scheduling and management of the company's medical examination programs. This includes: occupational health related examinations, medical referrals (reviewing medical files for completion, entering relevant medical data into electronic health record system, ensuring that records are reviewed and approved by FFD decision maker on a timely basis, escalating complex issues to admin team lead), providing admin support to Americas Regional Medical Teams, responding timely to questions and redirect enquiries on behalf of other team members as needed, collating monthly medicalappointment statistics, typing letters, memos and reports for department related issues and handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and updating patient records, as well as coordinating meetings, conferences, and other events.Expectations:Always maintain medical confidentiality in line with corporate policy and local regulations.Maintain a comprehensive, secure, filing system for medical records for the company. Photocopy, scan and fax documents re medical examinations, results etc. to relevant databases such as electronic medical record. Managing new and archived paper medical records into EMR as requested. Type dictatedhand-writtenemailed letters regarding employees. Handling sensitive data in compliance with local data protection regulations, such as the GDPR.Attend any relevant training courses and any other company mandated programs. Open and route or respond to mail in a timely manner as appropriate. Answer calls, email, or fax enquiries.Generate expense reports (CTREX).
