Our client is seeking a Temporary Office Manager to provide seamless support to their team during leave of absence from March 1st through July. This is a crucial role that requires strong communication, problem-solving, and vendor management skills.Start Date: February 17th or 18th (planned two-week overlap with current office manager).Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (with potential for occasional overtime, especially during the company retreat. Please be flexible if something urgent comes up, i.e. must wait for HVAC repair person to arrive etc.Location: NYC 10013; Large office space with a typical daily occupancy of 15-20 people (holds 100, so all will be there for event in June)Compensation: $44hr.Responsibilities:Day-to-Day Operations:Manage daily office operations, including:Maintaining office supplies and kitchen inventory.Ordering and coordinating lunches, ensuring proper break-down at the end of the day.Managing building relationships, including placing service calls and communicating with building staff (HVAC, maintenance, etc.).Greeting and assisting visitors, including managing building access.Supporting ad-hoc requests and ensuring timely completion of urgent tasks.Vendor Management:Manage relationships with key vendors (e.g., cleaners, shipping, garbage).Negotiate contracts and resolve any issues that may arise.Event Support:Assist in planning and coordinating a company retreat (June 9th - June 13th).Responsibilities may include:Organizing desk arrangements.Coordinating catering for 50+ people.Ensuring IT support for all equipment.Facilitating event logistics and addressing any on-site needs.Office Maintenance:Ensure the office space is clean, organized, and well-maintained.Address any maintenance issues promptly.Qualifications:2-3 years of experience in an Office Manager or similar administrative role.Proven experience interfacing with C-suite executives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently and effectively communicate with vendors and building staff.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Proficiency in G Suite and strong familiarity with Slack ideal.A proactive and problem-solving approach with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues.A friendly and approachable demeanor.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page Distinction Solomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
