Buyside Corporate/REITS Counterparty Credit Specialist

Responsibilities:Underwrite counterparties for mortgage-related transactions, including evaluating the risk profile of Originators, Servicers, and Sponsors.Make risk decisions and assessments, challenge business teams, and highlight key counterparty risk concerns promptly.Participate in the deal underwriting process from start to finish, especially for high-risk or underperforming counterparties.Collaborate with Legal, Credit Risk, and deal teams to ensure accurate loan agreements.Work closely with control function partners on reputational risk and management presentations.Present risk concerns, due diligence findings, and make risk recommendations to senior stakeholders.Produce well-written, succinct reviews and assessments.Requirements:4-10 years of experience in 1st or 2nd line roleProven track record in underwriting for mortgage-related counterpartiesAbility to write detailed reviews and memosExpertise in REITs, CRE, CLOs
