With rapid growth in our e-commerce channel, we offer advancement opportunities for team members looking to expand their skills and grow alongside us.Role OverviewAs our Shopify Web Developer & Online Merchandiser, you'll report directly to the Vice President of E-commerce and Marketing and play a pivotal role in driving online sales and optimizing the customer journey. Along with maintaining our core Shopify store, you'll help expand into international markets, ensuring we seamlessly reach customers around the globe. Candidates located in central Texas are highly encouraged to apply.)Key ResponsibilitiesShopify Plus Web Development & MaintenanceCustomize, update, and maintain Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Integrate and manage third-party appsAPIs for enhanced site functionality.Troubleshoot performance issues, optimize site speed, and ensure mobile responsiveness.Implement SEO-friendly code, manage schema markup, and conduct regular tests.Online Merchandising & Product CatalogStrategically organize product collections to optimize sales and user experience.Maintain a detailed product catalog (dimensions, weight, color, materials).Develop engaging product descriptions, titles, and visuals; run promos, upsells, and cross-sells.Collaborate with supply chain on inventory levels and manage seasonal or trend-based collections.Website Health & PerformanceMonitor site health with Google Search Console and Ahrefs (fix crawl errors, optimize keywords, track backlinks).Implement strategies to improve organic search visibility and resolve technical SEO issues.Review site metrics, user experience data, and analytics to identify optimization opportunities.Stay informed on search engine algorithm changes and industry best practices.AI-Driven OptimizationUse LLM AI tools (like ChatGPT) to enhance on-page content, SEO strategy, and product merchandising.Experiment with prompts and automated workflows to streamline copywriting, keyword generation, and content updates.Continuously assess AI outputs for quality, consistency, and alignment with brand voice.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with the Vice President of E-commerce and Marketing on brand strategy, promotional campaigns, and product launches.Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support for consistent messaging and smooth workflows.Provide input on new site features, enhancements, and brand messaging that drive conversion and engagement.Qualifications2+ years of Shopify Pro development experience (or equivalent e-commerce platform experience with Shopify knowledge).Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and comfortable editing Liquid templates.Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs) and core web vitals.Experience with online merchandising: product catalog management, promotional campaigns, data-driven assortment strategies.Exposure to or experience with LLM AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT) for content creation or merchandising optimization.Familiarity with other marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, Target) is a plus.Excellent organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Why Join UsBe part of a small, mission-driven, family-owned company and see the impact of your work daily.Rapidly growing e-commerce channel offering advancement opportunities"”including international expansion.Direct access to leadership, reporting to the Vice President of E-commerce and Marketing.A supportive, hands-on environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.Salary & BenefitsCompetitive Salary: Typically in the $60,000 - $65,000 range per year, depending on experience and expertise.Health, Vision, and Dental InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) PlanOn-Site Workout AreaEqual Opportunity EmployerHyperwear is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
