This is a direct placement opportunity and requires 100% on-site work in their Jacksonville office as well as frequent travel to Naval Station Mayport. Day to Day:Supervise and manage the operations of the Pipe Shop team for all ship repair activities in support of the US NavyAct as a liaison between the company and end customerPlan, assign and schedule work of the team members based on shipboard repair projectsDetermine schedule and assignments based on priority and quantity of equipment and workersAssist in program and project management by providing prospective work estimates, hours needed to complete work, material procurement and quotes for project durationLead all managerial activities related to those on the team -- performance reviews, hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, firing, employee training, reporting work-related issues, uphold safe working conditions, investigate accidentsinjuries if neededMust Haves: High school diploma5+ years of experience with ship repair in support of militarygovernment customers andor prior military experience, specific to pipe work1-2 years as a supervisorteam leadExceptional communication (verbal and written), computer skills (Excel), and presentation skills Ability to travel to Mayport on a daily basisAbility to gain access to military and government vessels and shipyardsAbility to work in a shop environment, pier side: standing, sitting, crawling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with armsPlusses: Understanding of program and project management for ship repair servicesSolid understanding of NAVSEA policy, procedures and standards Benefits: PTOPaid HolidaysHealthcare Coverage Leadership opportunity- this role reports directly into the General Manager over all JAX operations.
