We have exclusively partnered with our local client to identify talent for their open Manufacturing Project Coordinator positions.Summary of Role and Function:The project management coordinator is responsible for harmonizing movements between departments based on the planning department's schedule; tracking and reporting updates to project managers, and minimizingescalating risks in regard to production. The project management coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a detailed log of the progression of orders and of the variance from the contractual requirements and customer expectations.This is a position that requires excellent organizational skills, extensive knowledge, and understanding of ERP software, a deep understanding of policies and procedures for all departments, and a collaborative ability to prioritize projects in the best interest of the company and customers.Job Description:1. Key Duties :Dailya. Attend daily Production meetings to gather status updates on all released manufacturing orders. Make note of order status, roadblocks, and other significant information to work on resolutionsb. Attend meetings with customers as needed.Weeklya. Ensure All work orders have been completed and closed and shipped in the system after physical shipment.b. Ensure all parts are issued and accounted for the week of shipments and any order that had shipped prior.c. Update the QED production schedule with newly loaded orders from the Schneider shared QED Switchboards file.Continuouslya. Coordinate project activities to meet business goals and customer requirementsexpectationsi. Long lead material requisitions - work with sales and purchasing to establish the correct budget and that the budget is followed. Ensure material is ordered correctly, collectively.ii. Ensure material is supplied for on-time releases to kittingiii. Communicate shipments to the internal team and complete production order releases with the Schneider team. Assist with documentation for custom order shipments.b. Quickly analyze deviations from the Master Production Schedule and budget provided by sales to escalate to project managersc. Stand in for Project Managers when necessary in customer production meetings, engineering review meetings, etc.d. Assist project management in filing documentation, logging, and tracking projectse. Coordinate with all departments to ensure that the company is adhering to the Master Production Schedulef. Ensure that all customer change orders are communicated, completed, shipped, and invoiced, including documenting "gratis" changes, and documenting shipping and invoicing for "fee" changes2. Key Responsibilities:a. Regularly validate project plan and schedule to incorporate any changesb. Assist in developing best practices and toolsc. Communicate to the production coordinator and department supervisors in a timely and clear fashion regarding tasks needed to complete projects and fulfill priorities.d. Troubleshoot as problems arise in regard to the projects, monitor 2-week shortages, and understand order requirements.e. Coordinate with sales and shipping using the system to ensure all sales orders are shipped correctly and in a timely fashion3. Key Qualifications:a. Extensive skill in using ERP software (Global Shop specifically is a plus)b. Ability to accurately & completely fill out necessary paperwork according to established standardsc. Ability to perform math in various units of measure using fractions, decimals, and or whole unitsd. Advance skill and ability to organize and coordinate multiple jobs, tasks, and assignmentse. Ability to understand instructions in written, oral, or scheduled format and perform duties accordinglyf. Ability to work independently with minimal supervisiong. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of individuals and to manage difficult situationsh. Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlooki. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employeesj. Ability to pay close attention to detail and accurately perform daily job dutiesk. Associate's degree or two years of experience as a project planner or coordinatorl. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
