Claims Adjuster - Commercial Auto (McAllen Brownsville, TX)Must reside within 25 miles of McAllen Brownsville, TX. Position will necessitate a percentage of field work (on site) and desk work (remote) combined.Job descriptionResponsibilities:Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, drivers, witnesses, etc.), gather facts of the loss and clearly explain the claims processAssess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issuesDetermine liability and document the claim file with details of the claim investigationCommunicate to applicable parties the rationale behind coverage or liability decisionDocument information obtained regarding damages and resolve within assigned authority limitsManage the assignment of claim to material damage for inspection and repairsMaintain files notes and correspondence while performing multiple task associated with a fast-paced environmentAlert claims supervisor in the event of potential fraud, recovery escalation on the claimQualifications:1+ years of experience in handling commercial auto bodily injury claims - preferredTexas All Lines Adjuster License - required upon hireCalifornia Adjusters license - required within 90 days of hireBilingual in English and Spanish - requiredAssociates degree or above - preferredAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication skills and ability to clearly document and communicate the basis for decisions madeExcellent written skill that demonstrate clear, profession and succinct communication for file documentation, internal communications and external correspondenceStrong organization and time-management skillsCourteous and professional telephone communicationsAbility to work in a team environmentBenefits available for full time employees: Generous paid time off packageCompany sponsored medical, dental and vision plans + 401(k), cafeteria plan.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Adjusting Commercial Auto - BI: 1 years (Preferred)Language:Spanish (Required)LicenseCertification:Texas Claims Adjuster License (Required)California Claims Adjuster License (Preferred)Work Location: Remote
