The Builders of Color Coalition is seeking a highly organized, driven, personable individual to oversee and organize our educational programs - helping emerging real estate developers and professionals from underrepresented backgrounds to access the skills and networks needed to advance in the field. If interested, please email your cover letter and resume to Anna Norcross, Executive Assistant, at with the subject line "˜BCC PEM Application'.Hours: Full-timeLocation: Boston (mostly in person, some remote)Start Date: late March or early April 2025Compensation: $75-85K annually depending on experience, plus vacation benefitsResponsibilities:Organize and host our award-winning fellowships: 3-6 month programs designed to help existing small-scale developers increase their capacity for (1) market-rate development, (2) affordable housing development, and (3) investment analysis; track multi-year program impactOrganize and host our single-day forums on topics critical to advancement in the field, such as our Financing Forum, Land Access Forum, Community Real Estate Forum, and signature Student SummitOrganize and host real estate development project and city tours, in conjunction with partner organizations and municipalitiesProvide ongoing support of co-created educational programs led by external partners, such as the NAIOP Mentorship Program and ULI Pathways ProgramMaintain and add to our publicly accessible library of educational resourcesAssist with and pursue related fundraising efforts as neededNote: All responsibilities are also supported by our executive director, program administrator, and boardRequirements:Strong background in event organizing and management; ability to recruit participants, handle logistics including budgets, ensure meaningful outcomesBackground in program andor educational management; awareness of pedagogical methodsSolid organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to conduct manual tasks for in-person events, including equipment setupbreakdowntransport, with assistance of administrative and event management staffPreferences: Experience in economic development, workforce development, andor entrepreneurship support; Understanding of and ability to engage with diverse backgroundsKey Characteristics: driven, organized, self-directed, eager to learn, personable, flexibleAbout the Builders of Color Coalition:The Builders of Color Coalition () works to increase access and diversity in Greater Boston's commercial real estate sector, to create generational impact in expanding economic opportunity. The organization was founded in 2017 and has grown to a base of more than 650 diverse real estate professionals and strong connections across the industry.
