Professional Development - Big Law - Associate Director

This is a constituent-facing, high profile role that requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. The Associate Director of Legal Personnel will advise attorneys on career trajectories, including progression within the firm and long-term professional goals; Will oversee the performance evaluation process for attorneys within the group, ensuring timely and constructive feedback; Collaborate with partners to identify and address performance challenges while fostering an environment of continuous improvement; Design and execute mentorship programs to support associate growth and retention.The ideal candidate will develop, communicate, and enforce policies related to attorney work allocation, professional conduct, and compliance within the group; Ensure adherence to firm-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; Lead efforts to streamline processes and establish best practices across the group. The Associate Director of Legal Personnel will be responsible for designing and implementing structured career development programs tailored to the Corporate M&A group. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated attorney with 7-10 years of law firm experience in Professional Development, Legal Personnel or HR, who is looking to leverage their skills and experience into a personnel management and operational leadership role.JD required, preferably from a top 25 law school, with 7-10 years of law firm experience, with substantial time spent practicing in Corporate M&A or a related field. Demonstrated understanding of law firm operations, including attorney career progression, client service expectations, and professional development needs also required.
