Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager Duration: 05 Months (with possible renewable) Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02108 - HYBRID JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Description:As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will report to the Enterprise PMO Director, collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead large-scale, complex, and transformational IT projects that align with our strategic objectives. This pivotal role will work closely with our cross-functional teams - Operations Service Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Privacy, Finance, and others- to manage all aspects of project delivery, from planning through execution and closure, ensuring project transparency and successful outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.This is a hybrid role (2-3) days onsiteDuties and Responsibilities:• Demonstrates the ability to pivot quickly in response to evolving priorities, embracing change with a positive and solutions-focused mindset to ensure project success.• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and high-level executive presentations to track progress and share updates.• Elicit and translate business requirements from proposals into technical specifications and project scope documentation.• Ensure that the project has detailed project plans, work breakdown structures or clearly defined user-stories, project checklists, and budgets to meet established time frames that are aligned with availableapproved financing, and staffing availability.• Proactively report on project progress, risks, issues, and changes to all stakeholders, providing detailed summaries and actionable next steps.• Facilitate assessments to measure project outcomes, identifying successes, areas for improvement, and lessons learned.• Support the Strategy & Planning Team in aligning project goals with organizational priorities, maintaining PMO processes, and implementing standards.• Collaborate with technical leadership to align the technical direction with the Commonwealth's standards while advocating for the best technical approaches and solutions where those standards might not be a fit.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• 7-8 years in relevant IT project management experience, preferably in senior roles with budget oversight.• Demonstrated success managing large complex IT programs and projects and cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders.• A familiarity with IT concepts, cloud hosting and network solutions.• Comfortable with IT diagrams, managing and responding to proposals in the procurement system (e.g. Procore); IT construction deliveryrequirements gathering is a plus.• Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements effectively.• Excellent project management skills, with proven experience using project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum, etc.), and governance frameworks.• Experience in risk management, process redesign, and stakeholder engagement.• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.• PMP, PM-ACP, or equivalent project management certification preferred.• Prior experience in government or public-sector environments is a plus.• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar).Top Technical Requirements:• 7-8 years in relevant IT project management experience, preferably in senior roles with budget oversight.• Demonstrated success managing large complex IT programs and projects and cross-functional initiatives with diverse stakeholders.• A familiarity with IT concepts, cloud hosting and network solutions.• Comfortable with IT diagrams, managing and responding to proposals in the procurement system (e.g. Procore); IT construction deliveryrequirements gathering is a plus.
