Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Process Engineer to join a thriving energy company in Houston, Texas.Job Type: Direct HirePay Rate: $170,000 - $190,000year + bonusBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and more!Senior Process Engineer Responsibilities:Reviewing and contributing to proposalsLeading projects and interfacing with clients and client engineersCollaborating with project managers to achieve schedule commitmentsParticipating in third-party engineering service provider selection and engineering reviews with clients and suppliersModeling process simulations in AspenHYSYS or similar software and developing specialized modeling tools specific to the company's technology systemImplementing process design, equipment sizing, equipment data sheets, systems engineering, PFDP&ID development, line list generation, and othersCollaborating with process control specialists to develop DCS control narratives and system logic narrativesParticipating in hazard analysis, operability, and constructability reviewsProviding technical support for detailed engineering, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and plant operations. Onsite support will result in some amount of travel and extended stay at project sitesUtilizing and furthering the design methodologies for the technology systemSupporting the growth of intellectual property portfolio related to its technologyDeveloping and maintaining design procedures and toolsSupporting the development of operating guidelines and proceduresOther duties as assignedSenior Process Engineer Skills and Abilities:Excellent communication skillsKnowledgable of engineering workflows and project deliverables from a client and vendor perspectiveExcellent processing engineering skills, including PFD, PID, sizing, modeling, and technical design and oversightSkilled in revision control and methodsFamiliar with fluidized beds, solids handling systems, biomass conversion, steam methane reforming, oxycombustion, carbon capture, fuelsmethanation synthesis, and reactions are highly desirableKnowledge of new and Client chemical processes is highly desirableExperience with thermal integration of varied process technologiesProposalreport writing experienceExperience with plant operations is highly desiredClient-facinginteraction experience is highly desiredSenior Process Engineer Education and Experience:Experience with process simulation using AspenTech programs such as Aspen Plus HYSYS and other process simulators.Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software for drafting and editing P&IDs is preferred.Other relevant formal training, including HAZOP, HAZID, and Project Management, is a plusA minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10 - 15 years of related experience.EPC experience is a plus.Senior Process Engineer - Immediate need.
