Founded by award winning doctors and AI industry leaders they are now building out their leadership team.The Role:Reporting to an experienced CFO, the VP Controller will of Finance will own the build out of the Accounting and Controllership function. Taking responsibility for shaping and implementing accounting processes, systems that will create a best in class Accounting function preparing for a period of huge growth. Responsibilities:Build and implement accounting processes ensuring robust controls and compliance with US GAAPLead and manage the monthly close processPrepare financial reports with detailed analysis for multiple internal stakeholders and executivesOversee year end reporting implementing standards and the annual audit processEnsure compliance with accounting standards including tax filingsImplement software and systems to drive efficient month end and financial reportingIn the mid term establish processes in compliance with SEC reporting standards as the business prepares to IPOPartner closely with HR to support on benefits and comp based accounting needsWork closely with R&D and Operations teams to develop procurement processesSupport the CFO with the Accounting treatment for stock options and business valuation (409a)Support cash flow forecasting working closely with FP&ABuild, lead and manage a high performing teamWhat We Need:CPA qualification (preferably Big 4)Experience owning and building the Accounting function in a VC backed BiotechExcellent technical understanding around US GAAPExcellent communication skillsHigh level of commercial acumenWhat We'd Love to See (Non-Essential):Experience implementing an ERP systemExperience in both a rapid growth VC backed Biotech and a Listed BiotechExperience overseeing and establishing processes around SEC complianceSalary: $220,000 - $320,000 + bonus + share optionsStart Date: ASAPLocation: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid model and will consider exceptional remote first candidates)To apply or to explore more about this exciting role, please contact Fin on free to share this remarkable opportunity with your network of friends and contacts who may be interested in shaping the future of the fintech space.At Harmonic, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
