We provide them with flexible and efficient solutions and services.Sales Engineer for Smart Cities and Mobility in the USA market is a professional who combines strategic sales expertise with technical knowledge to drive the adoption of innovative urban solutions. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies for smart city technologies, writing winning RFPs for government opportunities, and creating pricing strategies for fleet management and AI-driven safety solutions. The specialist must build and manage partnerships with key stakeholders, including regional smart city consortiums and technology companies, while staying current with emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and data analytics. They should possess a strong understanding of urban planning, transportation systems, and public safety technologies, enabling them to design and implement solutions involving camera systems, AI software, and hardware infrastructure for smart city applications. Educational and Technical background: • Degree in Engineering: Preferably in areas such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Transportation Engineering; • Relevant Certifications: Knowledge in Smart Cities technologies (IoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, 5G), andor smart mobility systems. (Certifications in urban mobility, traffic management platforms, autonomous vehicle technologies, or smart city software integration);• Thorough understanding of government regulations, formatting guidelines, and submission deadlines; • RFP Writing for Government Opportunities, minimum 5 years of experience writing winning proposals for government solicitations, particularly in the smart cities domain;• Proven track record of securing contracts with a high win rate • Strong knowledge of smart city technologies, trends, and implementation challenges;• Smart Safety Using AI, experience on implementing AI-driven technologies for traffic management, public safety, and emergency response system • Experience doing pricing lead management for software and hardward system andor Smart safetly;• Software Development or System Integration Knowledge related to technological infrastructure.Preferred skills: •Experience in building and managing strategic partnerships with regional smart city consortiums and technology companies in the United States; •Proven track record of identifying and engaging with key stakeholders in the smart cities ecosystem, including: o Regional smart city alliances (e.g., Colorado Smart Cities Alliance, North Texas Innovation Alliance, The Connective) or Municipal testbeds and local governments. Technical Skills: • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions involving camera systems, AI software, and hardware infrastructure (servers, edge computing) for smart city applications, with a strong understanding of system integration, data analytics, and cybersecurity; • Knowledge of automation and control platforms: Understanding how real-time control systems work (smart traffic lights, surveillance cameras, infrastructure monitoring);• System and network interoperability: Understanding how different technologies and platforms can interact with each other. 3. Sales and Business Skills: • Business Development and Sales Strategies: Ability to identify new business opportunities and lead negotiations with high-level clients (local governments, transportation companies, tech startups, etc.);• Presentations and Technical Demos: Ability to deliver detailed presentations, product demos, and pilots to clients, clearly explaining both technical and commercial benefits; • Client Relationship Management: Skill to maintain and expand relationships with key clients in both the public and private sectors, managing accounts, and leading implementation projects.Previous Experience:• Experience in technical sales in technology or infrastructure sectors: Preferably with prior experience in smart city solutions or the mobility industry;• Experience in both public and private sectors: Ability to manage relationships with local governments, transportation companies, telecommunications firms, and urban developers;• Project Management and Complex Sales Cycles: Ability to manage long-term sales projects and multiple phases, from identifying opportunities to implementation.Languages: • Proficiency in English is essential;• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, Spanish or Portuguese 6. Soft Skills: •Strategic thinking;• Ability to understand client needs, predict trends, and propose innovative solutions;• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic environment in the smart mobility and smart city sectors; • Problem solving: Ability to identify issues and find technological solutions that enhance urban efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities in the smart city and mobility sector;• Collaborate with the technical and sales team to understand and customize solutions for client needs;• Develop and execute sales strategies for different markets (local governments, transportation companies, urban infrastructure operators);• Effectively present smart mobility and connected city solutions;• Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to implementation.
