Job Summary:The role of Project Specialist - Construction Administration is responsible for leading the construction phase portion of a project. This role works independently under the project manager and engineer of record on routine projects and ensures that projects are installed according to the requirements in design documents.Responsibilities:Represents MCE in a professional manner at construction meetings.Accurately reviews contractor submittals for compliance with construction documents.Produces field observation reports that reflect construction progress and identify deficiencies that do not comply with the construction documents.Coordinates design changes needed with the design team when field conditions require a deviation from the construction documents.Actively mentors less experienced construction administration specialists to advance into new roles within the firm.Promotes, uses, and trains others in using the master tools and standards.On routine projects where MCE is the prime consultant, leads the construction phase meetings and manages the meeting agendas and meeting minutes.Manages an accurate construction change log. Investigates and resolves construction phase issues and responds to RFI's, including coordinating with the design team when required.You Will Need to Have:Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, construction administration, or similar field of study from an accredited university or college At least 4 years of related building systems industry experienceMicrosoft Office Suite of products experienceDesign your career and future with MCE!
