During the course of your work, your involvement with your engagement team and your clients will foster your familiarity with consulting methodologies and approaches, as well as the financial services industry. You will have opportunities to demonstrate leadership, take ownership of client deliverables, interact with the client at various management levels, and ultimately make your mark on the client and on the Wavestone practice.2 - ResponsibilitiesWorking with a Wavestone team on projects for the business lines, functional teams, and technology departments of financial institutions from strategy definition to implementationAccurately analyzing work processes, systems, organizational functions and structures using interviews, data, statistical analysis and techniques to determine where and how to generate measurable benefitsPerforming accurate assessment and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levelsFormalizing written and oral feedback, presentation materials, systems documentation, process descriptions, evaluations, data summaries and reportsDeveloping innovative solutions and working closely with clients and project management to ensure effective impactTraining and assisting clients in the effective use of management systems, tools, techniques, group problem-solving, and team-buildingPreparing and running 1-on-1 informational interviews with clients and stakeholdersCommunicating and coordinating efforts within the client's environmentContributing to business development (i.e. proposals, market offers, white papers, etc.) and internal initiatives (i.e. recruitment, training, social events, etc.)QualificationsSuperior academic results through an undergraduate degree; graduate degree a plusUp to 3 years of financial services work experience, with at least 1-2 years in consulting or bankingExceptional drive, passion, interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingStrong analytical skills and problem solving abilitiesKnowledge-seeking and self-starting attitudeProactive in taking responsibility for various contributions to practice efforts.Personal commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlinesCustomer-focused mentality to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needsDemonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and management to help develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-inVersatile, flexible, and proactive when resolving technical issues and dealing with ambiguityBroad awareness of macro-economic and regulatory changes happening across the Financial Services industryHighly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging work environmentAdvanced desktop tool skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and ProjectThe pay range for this role is 80k-170kInformationsThis full-time position is based out of our New York office. Travel requirements tend to fluctuate. Consultants are expected to be able to travel up to 80% if required for specific projects and client needs.
