We are committed to delivering new levels of safety, hospitality, and operational excellence to the charter market.Position SummaryThe Aircraft Mechanic will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our fleet. Responsibilities include completing maintenance checks, troubleshooting malfunctions, logging inspections and repairs, and organizing equipment and supplies. The aircraft mechanic will complete tasks within the allotted time frames and according to the strict safety regulations of the FAA or applicable regulatory body. They must be a problem solver, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about aircraft systems and parts.Reports To: Maintenance ManagerLocation: Fort Worth, TX Primary Job Duties:Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory bodyOversee routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctionsConsult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairsInventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operationsComplete tasks within allotted time frames and to FAA (or equivalent) and company standardsCollaborate with other mechanics and engineers to perform repairs and ensure aircraft are operating smoothlyEnsure the comfort and safety of passengers through superior aircraft maintenanceMaximize in-flight time through swift diagnosis of mechanical problems and execution of precise, reliable repairsMaintain a professional environment of dedication, learning, and excellencePerform routine maintenance operations with diligence and to the highest industry standardsContribute to workplace safety, organization, and productivityAdditional duties as required, adapting to evolving needs and contributing to team successQualifications:Strong verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative mindset and experience working on a teamFlexibility to travel to various locationsFAA-approved A&P mechanic certification requiredAnalytical mind with a penchant for troubleshootingExcellent math and computer skillsDetail-oriented with a passion for mechanicsManual dexterity and physical strengthAbility to make consistent and precise repairs under pressureMultitasking skills in a fast-paced production environmentSelf-motivation and ability to work nonstandard hours and travel as neededExperience:3-5 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic preferred (or similar role)B777 or equivalent widebody aircraft experience preferredExtensive experience with power and hand tools and knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanics, and partsEducation: High school Diploma or GEDBenefits OverviewWe offer a competitive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid Life and AD&D with the option to buy-up, and 401(k) matching "” to assist employees balance their professional and personal lives and plan for a fulfilling petitive payHealth, dental, vision401k with company matchCell phone reimbursementEmployee assistance programGridiron Air is an equal opportunity employer, providing equal employment opportunities (EEO)
