Only qualified candidates will be anization Type: EducationWork Location: Newark, NJStart Date: First week of February 2025Duration: 2.5 monthsSchedule: Monday, Wednesday & one other weekday of your choosingHours: 9 am - 5 pm EST (20 hours per week) Pay: $28hour (Non-negotiable)Description:We are looking for a temporary Event Coordinator for the development department to help out with the planning and preparations for the annual benefit, taking place in April.The schedule will be 20 hours per week with increasing hours the closer we get to the benefit which in collaboration with the President and Senior Director of Development, maintain communication with appropriate constituencies (Trustees, event honorees, event chairs, committees, alumni, etc.) to plan the Spring benefit and build attendance.Work with Development and Communications teams regarding solicitation and acknowledgment letters, invitation, ad journal, awards, signage, guest speakers, program, photosvideos, and social media.Coordinate mailing schedules for save the dates, invitations, invitation and event follow-up.Identify, communicate with, and manage suppliers and vendors for events.Maintain and develop relationships with donors of financial and in-kind gifts.Coordinate silent, live auctions and raffles at eventWork with Development Officer, Individual Donors and Database to ensure accurate records. Manage event expenses to stay within budget.Monitor invoicing, acknowledgements, and follow-up for all gifts.Reconcile events in a timely and accurate manner.Conduct post-event analyses, including a timely and detailed P&L for each event.Other duties as assigned.
