The engineer will be tasked with the following key responsibilities:· Oversee and coordinate all aspects of sitecivil design preparation.· Provide leadership in site civil engineering.· Collaborate closely with the Senior Project Manager and other engineering disciplines.· Supervise and mentor junior internal staff.· Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, client communication, budget management, preparation andor oversight of construction documents (plans and specifications) and technical reports, engineering analysis, cost estimation, and ensuring quality controlquality assurance to deliver a high-quality design.· Perform other tasks as necessary.· Take responsibility for scope development, technical oversight, risk management, resource allocation, project leadership, and client relations.· Prepare proposals that clearly define the scope of work in line with client objectives.· Review design deliverables for accuracy and completeness.· Gather input from discipline leaders, project managers, and the construction team to incorporate lessons learned.· Foster the individual growth and development of each team member.· Utilize your skills and expertise to make a daily impact, strengthening client and team relationships. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:· BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil design of land development activities including: design of grading, storm water management, soil erosion & sediment control, public and private roadways, storm drainage and water & sewer design. · PE in North Carolina is preferred. · Ability to collaborate effectively in both team settings and independently with minimal supervision.· Knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and design standards specific to North Carolina.· Skilled in creating graphics, exhibits, and SiteCivil Construction Plans.· Strong technical proficiency with various software applications.· In-depth understanding of sitecivil design for energy & utilities, higher education, and both public and private land development projects.· Proficiency in Civil 3D or other model-based software is preferred.· Experienced professionals should be capable of delivering projects that meet technical requirements within budget and on schedule.· Expertise in performing or directing engineering work for diverse civil site design projects across various market segments, with different levels of complexity.· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.We offer our fulltime employees a comprehensive benefits package that's among the best in our industry, including top-tier medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, Tuition reimbursement, disability, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.Equagen is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
