In this role, you will work closely with detailing teams, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution while upholding safety as our top priority.Who You AreYou are a talented engineer with a passion for designing innovative structures. You excel at creating safe, accurate, and cost-effective designs, and you're adept at utilizing software tools to ensure structural integrity. You're a collaborative team player, always striving for continuous learning and improvement.What You'll DoCreative Design: Develop safe and economical structures that meet project requirements and adhere to industry codes and standards. Each project is unique!Technical Analysis: Utilize proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity.Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the Detailing Department and other teams to effectively communicate design requirements and ensure seamless project execution.Oversight: Review and check structural drawings for accuracy.Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams throughout the division to find innovative solutions.Qualifications, Skills, & AbilitiesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringArchitectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date.Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.Legally authorized to work in the US (no sponsorship required).Preferred Qualifications:Educational focus on structural engineering.Basic knowledge of building construction.Understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices.Experience in the field of pre-engineered metal building systems.Special Demands:Regular travel and on-site visits required.Ability to access multi-level job sites, sometimes using construction elevators.Must wear protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hard hats, etc.) while on-site.Flexible schedule with hours that may extend beyond regular business days.Why Join Us?As one of the nation's leading steel producers, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where employees can thrive and make a significant impact.
