Location: Mesa, AZ; Sterling, VACareer Opportunity The Infrastructure Optimization Specialist plays a key role in shaping the future of our data center operations, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Operational Excellence. In this position, you'll be the trusted advisor on maintenance programs for critical systems and equipment across our data centers, driving performance and excellence.This role is all about elevating the quality of our infrastructure and equipment, working with the operations team to implement best-in-class maintenance standards. Your expertise will ensure maintenance activities are completed on schedule, personnel are well-trained in effective scheduling practices, and operational excellence becomes the standard across our portfolio.Leveraging your deep knowledge of data center electrical and mechanical systems, you'll develop and implement maintenance policies that prevent equipment failures while optimizing the use of EdgeCore's CMMS, MCIM platform. You'll analyze performance data to identify trends, improve maintenance programs, and implement solutions that enhance equipment operability, efficiency, and uptime.Beyond technical expertise, you'll play a hands-on role in training and developing operations teams, ensuring they're equipped to perform at the highest levels. By fostering a culture of precision and accountability, you'll make a lasting impact on the reliability and performance of our critical systems.Develop and implement comprehensive condition-based maintenance policies and procedures to ensure optimal system performance.Leverage EdgeCore's CMMS, MCIM, to design and refine efficient maintenance schedules and processes.Establish and monitor Objective Key Results (OKRs) to track and enhance maintenance performance across the EdgeCore portfolio.Continuously assess the effectiveness of maintenance programs by analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions for improvement.Optimize maintenance programs to improve equipment operability, availability, reliability, and efficiency while reducing costs.Validate and audit operational procedures for critical equipment, ensuring adherence to best practices, industry standards, and company policies.Provide expertise during incidents or system failures, gathering actionable data to refine processes and maintenance practices.Conduct root cause failure analyses and implement corrective action plans to promote ongoing improvements in operations.Educate site operations teams on effective maintenance scheduling, techniques, and the use of MCIM to elevate team capabilities.Perform life cycle costing and end-of-life analysis to maintain reliability and address obsolescence proactively.Foster performance excellence through regular audits and evaluations of operations teams and vendors.Your Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.5-7 years of experience in data center engineering, design, or -depth knowledge of maintenance practices and expertise in managing critical electrical and mechanical data center equipment.Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of influencing and educating both technical and non-technical teams effectively.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.High level of discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects under pressure while maintaining focus and urgency.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership in decision-making.Demonstrated dedication to operational excellence, accountability, and consistent follow-through.Flexibility to travel approximately 25-50% as needed, adapting to evolving business requirements.What We OfferThis is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus.This is an on-site role with free on-site parking.Ideally based commuting distance from Mesa, AZ or Sterling, VA or willing to relocate to one of these areas.
