This role is essential to the successful execution of our commercial construction projects. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely project completion.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and resolving any on-site issues.Work with subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure project schedules are maintained and resources are appropriately allocated.Monitor work to ensure compliance with design plans, building codes, safety standards, and quality specifications.Enforce and monitor safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies.Assist in preparing and presenting daily progress reports to the Superintendent and project management team.Support the management of on-site personnel, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration across all trades.Address and resolve any construction-related issues or delays in a timely manner, ensuring that project deadlines are met.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.Software: Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus.Certifications: OSHA 30 certification is preferred.Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
