Teijin Automotive offers employees the opportunity to join a leading edge company within the composite material industry and enjoy the benefits offered by a growing company in North America and internationally.We are looking for a 1st shift Paint Process Tech for our Huntington , IN Plant.SUMMARYTo obtain, and track process parameters and troubleshoot items not in specification.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESKnowledge of the paint system (conveyor system, power wash, dry off oven, stylepanel detection area, manual paint booth, automatic paint booth, bake ovens, paint mix room, unload and the spot paint booth)Knowledge of paint guns (automatic, manual, and spot paint guns)Monitor robots.Monitor operating parameters on the power wash and paint line and make adjustments as needed.Timely identification of process upsets & interfacing with the production associates, team leaders, supervisors and paint manager.Monitor the paint, power wash and solvent consumption.Some level of customer and vendor interfacing is required.Troubleshoot paint process related problems.Assist in training of other associates.Work with suppliers testing new materials.Operate systems efficiently and minimize downtime.Other duties as assigned by the Paint Manager.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
