In this role, you will manage the product lifecycle from initial sketch through TOPs. Work collaboratively with Design, Production, and Merchandising. Develop Tech Packs to communicate requirements for fit and construction, taking responsibility for all aspects of Technical pre-production work. Manage production calendars to establish timelines and deadlines to support the product launch calendar. Ensure each garment is developed with established fit and quality standards, manufacturer's capabilities, and cost specifications.Responsibilities:Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle from sketch through production for approval. Collaborate with key partners both internally and externally to bring innovative products to market.Technical Design: Translate design vision into Tech Packs, review and evaluate samples for spec, pattern, construction, grading, and fit. Partner with Design to work through complex garment construction.Fitting & Specification: Schedule and conduct fittings and fit recaps. Evaluate and adjust fit and functionality with keen attention to detail and precision. Provide clear and actionable feedback to ensure all specs fit comments and detailed drawings are conveyed accurately and on time. Gain alignment with key stakeholders when necessary.Reporting: Create and manage WIP (Work In Progress) reports to coordinate weekly communication across teams and vendors.Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement within product creation, drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, and streamline workflow through fine-tuning existing SOPs and building new processes to support growth and expansion.Empathetic Problem Solving: Provide a comfortable fit environment for non-professional models not accustomed to trying on intimate apparel around strangers. The ability to translate non-specific feedback into solutions for fit and technical construction.Vendor & Partnership Management: Build and sustain strong partnerships with factories and vendors to communicate technical details, troubleshoot issues, and maintain product integrity throughout the sampling and production process. Foster collaboration and encourage innovation to maintain a competitive advantage.Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks and recommend consumer-centric solutions that align with the product vision.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.7+ years of experience in Technical Design for apparel or intimates.Strong understanding of constructions, pattern making, and grading for intimates, swimwear, or apparel.
