Job Summary : The Vice President of Development will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the company's real estate development strategy in South Florida. This individual will have a proven track record of successfully developing condominium projects and will oversee all aspects of project execution, including construction, development, acquisitions, architecture, and finance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and a seasoned professional with deep industry expertise. A strong understanding of construction execution is required. Responsibilities: Oversight of development and construction process from inception to completion. Conduct financial analysis of development opportunities. Gather, compile, investigate, and analyze market data to identify potential development opportunities. Work with design consultant team and the firm's construction team on entitlement tasks to advance the project through the approval stage. Lead the due diligence process with internal/external subject matter experts on properties under contract and develop documentation and recommendations on key findings that may affect the return and financial performance of the proposed deal. Identify, investigate, and refer potential land acquisitions to the Regional Development Partner and assist in preparing financial, market, and other documents required for new business presentations and responses to RFPs. Monitor and report on the status and progress of proposed development transactions within the assigned geographic region and establish critical timelines and deadlines for tasks and activities related to the proposed transaction. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate, with a focus on development, financing, and operations. Strong familiarity with condo development in the South Florida real estate market Strong understanding of real estate development, equity, and debt financing, and deal sourcing. Deep understanding of real estate development, construction, and financing in South Florida. Proven track record in managing complex operations and fostering high-performing teams. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling and data analysis. Strong quantitative, analytical, and creative thinking skills are essential for evaluating opportunities and risks. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage internal/external experts or consultants. Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, take initiative, and think independently in a fast-paced environment. High energy and commitment to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative work setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and large volumes of data effectively. Ability to glean actionable insights from complex datasets and make informed decisions.
