Litigation ParalegalOur client, a plaintiff side, securities litigation law firm, is looking for an experienced Paralegal to join the firm's Corporate Governance litigation practice. The Corporate Governance team has a strong track record of precedent-setting outcomes over the last two decades and has successfully combated unfair deals, created billions of dollars in increased shareholder value, addressed self-dealing and executive compensation issues in the boardroom and executive suite, and successfully challenged harassment and discrimination in the workplace, setting governance models for companies as they move forward.Key Responsibilities: Perform legal and factual research (using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, AlphaSense, and other systems)Prepare, finalize, and file legal documentsIndependently manage assigned cases in an organized and efficient mannerDraft, proofread and cite-checkfact-check briefs, complaints, and other documentsPerform electronic filings with anize and track case files, maintain reference files, and manage Outlook calendar deadlinesAssist with retrieving production documents and rulesregulations. Prepare for depositions (scheduling, booking, coordinating with outside council and vendors, preparing exhibits)Maintain time entries in ProLaw, Dayforce, and iTimeKeepVirtually attend monthly ParalegalCase Manager meetings.Position Qualifications:Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firmSolid experience and skills performing cite checking and Bluebooking Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Pacer, and other court-related websitesStrong proofreading and grammar skills along with a keen eye for detailSolid word processing skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Well versed in Federal State rules and filings, knowledge of PACER is requiredClass action experience & Delaware Chancery Court experience, preferredWork Environment:This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in New York, NY, overtime (above 35 hours) may be requiredThis is a hybrid role (typically 4 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required); 1-2 days' work-from-home).
