Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Control Systems Engineer located in Houston, TX. The position allows for some work from home. The Senior Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing control systems for various engineering projects, conducting system assessments, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance within the team.An EPC looking for someone with Honeywell Experion and another with Yokogawa experience, with oil and gas experience.Overview: We're looking for an experienced Senior Control and Automation Engineer to design, develop, and test Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) for large-scale projects, primarily in the oil, gas, and chemical industries. This role involves working with various control systems like Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Fire and Gas Systems (FGS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Key Responsibilities:Lead and support automation work for control systems in projects.Provide technical expertise on ICSS design, including DCS, SIS, and terpret technical documents (e.g., P&IDs, Cause & Effect Diagrams) to develop system configurations.Design and implement process control systems and network communication protocols.Lead a team of engineers focused on specific ICSS systems (DCS, SIS, FGS).Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and regulators to resolve technical issues.Participate in system testing, commissioning, and start-up activities (domestic and international).Required Experience:5-10 years of ICSS experience, particularly in large-scale oil, gas, or chemical projects.Proficiency with industry platforms like Emerson, Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB.Experience in control system design, programming, and commissioning.Knowledge of communication protocols (EthernetIP, Modbus, OPC, etc.) and wireless networks.Familiarity with process control, safety systems, and instrumentation.Experience with PLC programming and control loop design.Qualifications:BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
