Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with a global educational publishing company to hire a copyeditor and project assistant.This is an ongoing, hybrid contract in NYC. You will work ~35 hoursweek during business hours. The pay is $30-$35hr.Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Curriculum Assistant Editor to join our team. This role combines editorial work with data management, supporting the creation and refinement of educational content. The ideal candidate will excel in accuracy and agility, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for children's literature. A background in PDF review and Excel charting is preferred.Overview of Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Review and edit children's book and curriculum PDFs, ensuring they adhere to style guidelines.Extract and organize data from PDFs, marking up documents as needed.Create and refine book covers, ensuring they are visually appealing and easy to read.Assist with the preparation and organization of curriculum materials.Work closely with the editorial and design teams to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.Collaborate on projects, providing detailed feedback and making suggestions to improve content.Maintain organized and accurate records of edits and revisions.Job QualificationsRequirements:Experience working with Excel charts and data organization.Experience with PDF review and markup.Ability to quickly adapt to new software or tools with training.Knowledge of and interest in children's literature is a plus.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Collaborative and communicative, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.A passion for accuracy and agility in editing and data-related tasks.Additional Information:This position requires working 1-2 days per week in the NYC office, with flexibility for remote work.Candidates must have a strong desire to contribute to children's educational materials and thrive in a detail-oriented environment.If you are enthusiastic about children's literature and editing with precision, we would love to hear from you.
