Trust & EstatesCommercial Banking Paralegal - Boston, MALHH is seeking an experienced paralegal to support our banking and estate planning practice. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in Trust & Estates, complex commercial banking and real estate matters, as well as trust and estate planning experience. The ideal candidate will bring at least five (5) years of hands-on experience in commercial banking, real estate transactions, and estate administration. Responsibilities:Assist in the administration of complex and taxable estates, including preparation and filing of state and federal estate tax returnsProvide paralegal support for complex commercial banking and real estate matters, including UCC searches, lien searches, title examinations, asset searches, foreclosures, and preparation of commercial transaction documentsPrepare ancillary estate planning documents, such as durable powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, HIPAA forms, and basic funding documentsSupport the administration of irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs) and other trust structuresCollaborate with attorneys and clients to manage and resolve various estate-related matters, including asset distribution and complianceQualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved programAt least five (5) years of experience in commercial banking, real estate, or trust and estate mattersFamiliarity with estate administration processes, including the preparation of estate tax returns and ancillary estate planning documentsStrong knowledge of UCC searches, lien searches, title examinations, and asset searchesExperience in ILIT administration or other specialized trust matters is a plusProficiency with Outlook, MS Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint and AdobeExperience with estate planning softwareAbility to multi task, work independently, prioritize assignments and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills for client servicing Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster strong client relationshipsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamThis posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
